The national charity UK Youth’s Patron HRH The Princess Royal and their President Nigel Mansell CBE met with representatives of Stewart Signs last month following the completion of a rebranded signage and wayfinding scheme for s Avon Tyrrell’s outdoor centre.

Avon Tyrell House is dedicated to developing core life skills in young people through inclusive outdoor learning and supports over 30,000 visitors every year, many of which are young people from deprived backgrounds or living with a disability.

With the Grade I Calendar House in desperate need of modernisation and repair to meet its growing need and demand, Stewart Signs were delighted to support the refurbishment project, manufacturing a variety of wayfinding and signage solutions – installing them free of charge.

Stewart Signs joined local community and business leaders to celebrate the centre’s achievements in helping young people to build bright futures, getting the opportunity to meet and hear from young people who have participated in outdoor learning programmes to develop key life skills.

Nigel Mansell CBE, President of UK Youth said: “It was great to see the support Avon Tyrrell received today from our Patron and local business leaders. For the centre to continue its vital work, it needs significant investment and today has offered hope for the future of Avon Tyrrell and thousands of young people across the UK.”

David Watts, Director of Operations and Avon Tyrrell said: “Following our rebrand, Stewart Signs’ support helped revitalise our UK Youth Avon Tyrrell site. As a charity, unfortunately we had no budget for this activity, therefore we are incredibly grateful for the unbelievably kind offer from Stewart Signs to help update almost 100 signs across our 65 acres in the heart of the New Forest. The new signs have really improved our site information to visitors with their clarity and information.  The signs help to present the UK Youth brand and demonstrate the site is well looked after, and this really does contribute to inspiring young people to experience, learn and develop through our outdoor learning provision to build bright futures.”
