next >> Général de Gaulle 70th anniversary livery by Halo Rail19th June 2010 French President Nicolas Sarkozy was among the first to glimpse one of Halo Rail’s latest livery projects: these stunning digital images applied to a specially chartered Eurostar train.
The eye-catching units brought a delegation of 750 French veterans and dignitaries from Paris to London to mark the 70th anniversary of Charles de Gaulle's stirring radio appeal: “L’Appel du 18 Juin”, in which Général de Gaulle called upon his countrymen to resist the Nazi occupation of France.
Eurostar approached Halo to implement the promotional livery designed by AGENCE PUBLICS, emblazoning all 18 carriages and both power cars with images of Général de Gaulle and other French wartime figures.
With an explicit knowledge of the Eurostar fleet and a strong understanding of the needs within the depot charged with maintaining these units, Halo managed the livery project throughout. It scheduled the application stages to accommodate circling media attention and fitted the high quality detailed graphics well within the crucial deadline.
